Bernadette Peña is an American artist and entrepreneur who uses photography to examine culture, narratives, and people. Currently, Peña is working with photography as a form of documenting history, social issues, and stories of the legendary and the unknown. A community leader and advocate, Peña is committed to creatively collaborating with cultural arts organizations, youth organizations, and civic organizations focused on equitable programming for underserved and underinvested communities.
Before her career as an artist, Peña was in banking and finance, serving as Vice President of Investment Services for 18 years. A natural-born planner, she ventured into the national production arena as an event producer, co-producing premier Latino events alongside political leaders and famed figures.
Peña believes in amplifying diverse voices, encouraging all to embrace and celebrate the story within.
